Annual Garden Tour
In the early days of the Kirtland Garden Club, members informally toured each others gardens on a summer day in July. Twenty eight-plus years later, the tour has evolved as an exciting annual event that is offered to the public: gardeners, wannabe gardeners, club members and visitors to the area.
It's a self-guided tour, held a Saturday in late July, with 8 to 10 unique gardens in and around the Higgins and Houghton Lakes area. Gardens are selected by a club committee. If you have a garden or know of one you would like to have considered on the tour, please let us know.
Walk through each garden, at your leisure, enjoying the creativity of our northern Michigan neighbors. Ask questions, get inspired, compliment the cook!
Proceeds from the garden tour go back to the community in the form of three local scholarships, the CRAF Center garden and 2-5 nature related donations.
2024’s Garden Tour will be Saturday July 27th from 9am to 3pm, so mark your calendar.
